Three instruments that replaced the Standards for RTOs 2015 from 1 July 2025: the Outcome Standards (F2025L00354), the Compliance Requirements, and the Credential Policy. The Outcome Standards hold four Quality Areas and twenty-three Outcome Standards, written as outcomes rather than as processes — so the question at assessment is less whether you have a policy than how you know it is working. Standard 1.5, and only Standard 1.5 — it is the one Standard in the instrument that contains the word validation. It requires the assessment system to be quality assured by appropriately skilled and credentialled people through a regular process of validating assessment practices and judgements. Every training product must be validated at least once every five years, on a risk-based approach that includes sample size. Who may validate is set separately, by Section 3 of the Credential Policy.

Standard 4.4 — systematic monitoring and evaluation of the organisation to support quality delivery and the continuous improvement of services. Division 3 of Quality Area 4 is titled Continuous improvement. Standards 2.7 and 2.8 also require feedback, complaints and appeals to inform improvement, so a complaints register that records outcomes but feeds nothing satisfies only half of what is asked.

We update the regulatory obligation framework when an instrument changes, and you are notified so you can review what it means for your own compliance status. The obligations are structured data in the platform rather than a PDF you are left to re-read, so a change arrives as a change to the things you are working against.

Standard 4.3 asks every RTO to identify and manage risks to students, staff and the organisation, regardless of size. How formally you do that is your choice, not an obligation — which is why the risk workspace speaks plain English on screen and keeps the formal ISO 31000 vocabulary for the exports your board or consultant will read. No, and deliberately not. Everything the platform computes — the compliance health score, the early warning indicators, the drafted plans, the validation cadence recommendations — is rules-based and inspectable. When a compliance decision has to be defended to a regulator, "the model suggested it" is not an answer anyone wants to give.

They are separate Standards and are assessed separately. Standard 3.2 covers the training and assessment credential and currency in training and assessment practice. Standard 3.3 covers current industry skills and knowledge relevant to the training product. A trainer can satisfy one and not the other, so Qualticks holds them apart — competency mapped down to element level, and industry licences carrying the date they expire.

No. The phrase appears once in the whole instrument, in performance indicator 1.2(b), as something industry engagement informs. A training and assessment strategy is best understood as how you evidence Standards 1.1 to 1.5 collectively, rather than as a requirement pinned to a single clause — which is why Qualticks treats the TAS as a controlled document tied to your scope rather than as a compliance checkbox.

Training and assessment strategies, unit delivery plans and trainer records are built in the platform rather than imported, because that is what keeps them connected to your scope.
